Coloring study by appleghost Coloring study by appleghost
I really adore Hyung-tae Kim, and I wanted to try and do a pic where I did a similar coloring style like his.
I think he uses Painter, but I alas, I only have photoshop, so I just tried my best to mimic that painterly thing he does...

--- Reith from Magna Carta, a game that he did the character designs for.

Did you do the key words for this? I've searched for Reith artwork before and don't remember having seen this. I'd've faved it if I had; it's very well done.

actually i think he uses photoshop, just the lines are pencil or something, then scan and paint in photoshop :D some time ago i found a tutorial by him (really was not a tutorial, it was just like 3 or 4 steps hahaha) which was something like:

do the sketch
clean the sketch and erase a lot to have nice lines... don't worry if you get messy, photoshop fix everything (that's why i think he uses photoshop)
then scan and fix brightness and contrast
then clean a little bit the lineart
then flats
and then appears the final pic :S
